Antje Monshausen

Antje Monshausen has a Master's degree in geography, complemented by a minor in Latin American studies. Since November 2024, she has served as Managing Director of ECPAT Germany, an organization dedicated to protecting children from sexual exploitation in the context of tourism. Previously, from 2012 until October 2024, she headed Tourism Watch at Bread for the World, where she actively promoted sustainable and socially responsible tourism.

Since 2013, Antje Monshausen has also been a member of the jury for the TO DO Award, recognizing outstanding initiatives in sustainable tourism.

“When on vacation with my family, I prefer traveling by local bus rather than in an air-conditioned minivan. This way, we easily engage in conversations, get wonderful travel tips, and sometimes even receive a spontaneous dinner invitation,” says Antje Monshausen, describing her favorite way to travel.
